You are traveling all the time.

How I became a Sikh

by Nam Nidhan Kaur, Chile

For all my life I was looking for the moment to meet this path life. When it finally came, it came through Amrit Singh (Chile). He went into my house and he nearly pushed me to go to a Yoga class. I said: "O'k". I found him so nice and he sight was so pure and so clear, I said: "O'k, there is something here. I have to go."

I made the class, and the second class my heart opened immediately and I started to cry and I couldn’t stop crying and in that moment, during the exercises I felt that it was my path. I felt it. And in my heart I said, "finally I can serve."

What I was looking for and a big suffering for it because I couldn’t find my way and my path of life. Finally, finally. And then I had a dream at the end of the course that lasted one month and in the dream there came an angel and it was a very bright being who came to me and said: "from this moment you are taken care of. Don’t worry about anything." But you know it was not a dream, I was awake. You know that state were you are sleeping and awake. I was like that. This angel, actually two angels, I don’t know who they were, and I felt in my heart flows of love, and a blessing.

And when my mind started to think about that I felt fear because I hadn’t had an experience with other levels of consciousness. And then it disappeared and then I started to cry in my bed because of that experience and I went to my mothers house and told her and then at the same moment, my little daughter came and said to me, "Mom there was a big bright being beside my bed."

It was a sign for me that this was my path of life and I had no doubt about that. And then I felt I have to go and have to find this teacher and I have to find this community because I felt all my life that I had to belong to a community and I knew that I was doing all this since I was a child. And then I started to practice KY and then I came to the USA and did my Sikh vows and met the SSS. And it was so wonderful, so beautiful and what can I say. I put the turban on and went back to Chile and I was the second one with a turban there. And everything started to flow. Doing Sadhana every day. That was 8 years ago.
