You are traveling all the time.

You are still a force

by Gurutej Kaur

You are still a force.
I came to see you but my mind and heart were not properly prepared.
You came to address us in your wheel chair
Your breath assisted, your beautiful feet (which I have so often touched) bound.
Parts missing in action, others patched and new ones found.
A body that could not keep up with your untiring demand
A body that said please stop. You overrode its command
My heart broke, no I was shattered glass shards poking through my body parts as I gazed at you, this magnificent force bound and tied
Reliant on help for his every need.
(I laughed, for we all are.)
Then through my hearts shroud of tears I felt you.
Still a force.

You spoke directly into my bleeding heart.
You wiped away the blood with one well place word
You woke me up to my deepest destiny.
You gave exercises to make me come alive and back to my work on earth.
You are a force wired together by our determined prayers
A relentless vision that must come to be.
You are a force bartering with God
Showing a job not quite done
You are a force jailed in a body, which could not sustain
either the intensity nor the duration of the ride
You are a force of black burning coals where most have simple eyes
You are a force that has cracked us open and scattered us wide
You are a force, not of nature but of Infinite pridev
