A principle in life to remember is to travel light.
You are traveling all the time.
Travel light, live light, spread the light, be the light.

A Journey Home:

by Gurutej Kaur

Where you when you heard?
Speaking mouth to ear with a dear friend
She filling me full of the depth and deliciousness
of Khalsa Council meetings.
I heard an abrupt entry on her end
her husband burst out with
The Siri Singh Sahib (Yogi Bhajan ) just died 10 minutes ago
Silence, as if trying to let it settle in
Water running through rocks
Then the Akal's (Undying ) started
Touching his feet one last time
Voices pushing
Sound Current pushing him
Silence
We knew it was close for months
No, years in and out of deep danger
But here now October 6th
In the mantel of Guru Ram Das's Birthday
This is when he choose to cast aside
This broken body
Which could no longer hold His magnificence
He waited

Till all the Summer programs were over
Till Khalsa Council was complete
After the IKYTA teachers conference ended
Then and only then did he clasp the hand
of his beloved wife Bibi Ji
Only then did he agree to relinquish his soul
The Guardian came and this time he said, "Yes"
His job done
Ours just begun in full
To carry this banner high
To carry this love and determination
On and On and On
In our chants
In our work
In our every movement
This Day is a good day for devotion
As is every day to follow
