What's In a Signature

I awoke startled by the vision of this beautiful letter etched out of glass. More resounding was the Voice of my teacher saying. "You must change your signature. Your present one is too hard and fast. When you do it you don't breath." Then he showed me this beautiful symbol and informed me that this was my new signature. That in itself was amazing more amazing still was the fact that I remembered it. For either I don't dream or I don't remember them if I do. This one was crystal clear and I resolved to change it then though of it no more. That is till I was driving past the bank and he made me turn in and change it right then, that day. I waited for the branch manager who knew me because he had helped me with a line of credit on my home. When he asked me what I needed I stated for the record.
"I need to change my signature." His quizzical look was followed by a single word, "Why?" "I just need to" I said blithely. Covered by a veil of the The Siri Singh Sahibs cloak he just said " Okay" When we finished the paper work his only comment was, "That's truly beautiful." I did not tell him that my now dead teacher had commanded me in a dream to change it to this symbol or why. I just smiled and said, "Yes it is. Thanks." So my identity is now different. I will let you know how this will effect me in the future but for now I just must be very conscious every time I sign my name for old habits die hard and I have caught myself quickly scribbling the old way a time or two before I slow it way down and let this one dance forth.
